The Office for Good Scientific Practice and Ethical Principles at KIT (Office GWP) supports the communication and implementation of Good Research Practice (german: "Gute wissenschaftliche Praxis" = GWP) at KIT according to the Statutes for Safeguarding Good Research Practice at KIT.

The core tasks of the Office GWP are:
 

• Collecting and providing information on existing support services at KIT regarding Good Research Practice and research ethics in studies, teaching, and research.
• Coordinating and (co-)developing training offers on Good Research Practice for students and young scientists.
• Coordinating and (co-)developing information offers and training opportunities for researchers and lecturers on Good Research Practice.
• Supporting the Ombudspersons for Safeguarding Good Research Practice and the Commission for Good Research Practice.
• Supporting of the Ombudspersons for Ethical Principles and the Ethics Committee of KIT.
